Jens and Margaret Mohr radiate
warmth and welcome to their visitors, and do so with an unusual
and charming
accent that comes from their early years in Germany. They have been
completely
immersed in the hospitality
business in Bremen, Germany and since they moved to Oakley three
years ago.
We have chosen Oakley because of the slower
pace of life reminiscent
of days-gone-by (Margaret thinks it is like "Happy Days" in the
1950s) and the friendliness of the small-town
folk.
The best parts of the hospitality business, they say, is
meeting people from all over the
world and having the opportunity to spend
more time with their children, Jan and Tami.
In
this family-run business,
all of the family members help out as they can,
although Margaret is away much of the time now at the hospital where she is working as a CNA.
Having been visitors themselves, they remember
the comforts and discomforts of various lodgings and, now that
they are
in a position to do something about it, place a real
premium on clean and quiet rooms.
